PRIMARY FUNCTION: This position is responsible for school-based support and integration of technology tools, hardware and software, within the teaching and learning process. Duties included working closely with school personnel on curriculum integration strategies as they relate to the core content areas and STEAM education. Position focuses on creating an environment that is conducive to 21st century learners and will provide training, coaching, and mentoring to school personnel on the use of technology for student growth and academic achievement.

SALARY SCHEDULE: Teach

WORK DAYS: 229

 

REQUIREMENTS:

1.  Education Level: Master’s degree in Instructional Technology or STEM related field.  

 

2.  Experience, Skill, and Certification: 

  • Valid teaching certification.
  • Minimum of three (3) years of successful teaching using technology within the classroom.
  • Experience with online instructional software, their application, and assessment, to include learning management systems.
  • Skill in changing the instructional delivery model and working with state standards.
  • Ability to model and demonstrate effective classroom practices for teachers.
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills, including the ability to work with a variety of stakeholders.
  • Ability to problem solve, analyze student data, and apply learning theory and pedagogy techniques to improve student learning.
  • Knowledge and ability to implement technology initiatives including management of systems, digital resources, and hardware to meet school goals and objectives.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

 

  1. Works collaboratively with administrators, teachers, instructional staff, community members, and any other relevant service providers to create a 21st century learning environment for teaching and learning.
  2. Develops, delivers, and facilitates high quality professional development to meet the MSAP grant accountability requirements.
  3. Works with teachers, in teams or individually, to improve their skills on the integration of technology into both the curriculum, as well as the method of instruction.
  4. Works collaboratively with individuals or groups of teachers to transform the instructional model into a creative, interactive, and innovative learning environment.
  5. Focuses on integration, professional development, and support to improve teaching and learning though the use of technology tools, online software, and online services.
  6. Create and support effective digital age learning environment to maximize the learning of all students with a focus on STEAM/STEM education integration.
  7. Assist teachers in using technology effectively for assessing student learning, differentiation instruction, and providing rigorous, relevant, and engaging learning experiences for all students.
  8. Provides research-based strategies to support the teaching and learning process.
  9. Supports the use of instructional technology to engage teachers and students and provide 24/7 access to digital resources for the continuation of teaching and learning.
  10. Participates in staff development activities as prescribed by the MSAP Project Director or the Program Manager of Instructional Technology.
  11. Performs other duties as necessary for the effectiveness of the initiative

 

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT

Incumbents will receive an annual contract. The work calendar will be 229 days. Salary will be determined based on level of certification and allowable experience. Exempt.
This position is MSAP Grant Funded: ends March 31, 2026.

Must have valid driver’s license and reliable personal transportation due to frequent travel between school locations.

 

CLASSROOM   Employees in this category spend at least most of the workday in a typical classroom or related educational environment.  There will be prolonged periods of standing or walking, and there may be frequent bending, stooping, or stretching.  There are occasions that require the lifting or pulling of equipment or supplies.  Reading, listening, writing, and speaking are requirements.  There are few exceptional physical or sensory demands, but there may be occasions that require the lifting or restraint of a student.
