Description

PRIMARY FUNCTION: A Speech Pathology Assistant will follow documented treatment plans and protocols developed by a licensed or certified Speech Language Pathologist.

 

REPORTS TO: Senior Director, Exceptional Children

SALARY SCHEDULE: G-10

WORK DAYS: 250

 

REQUIREMENTS:

  1. Education Level: Associate’s degree in Communicative Disorders

Preferred: Bachelor’s Degree in Communicative Disorders 

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

 

  1. Deliver treatment to students as determined by the Speech Language Pathologist.
  2. Assist with informal documentation.
  3. Document student performance.
  4. Assist the Speech Language Pathologist during assessments of students.
  5. Perform clerical duties, maintain records and prepare reports as necessary.
  6. Assist with professional development activities
  7. Assist with departmental operations such as scheduling and scanning.
  8. Performs other duties as necessary for the effective operations of the department.

 

 

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT

Incumbents will receive an annual contract. The work calendar will be 250 days. Salary will be determined based on level of certification and allowable experience. Exempt
