PRIMARY FUNCTION: This position is responsible for administrating and supporting technology-based security systems and implementing measures to maintain these systems online and operational. In addition, the position will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the proper integration and operation of disparate physical security-based systems.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

  1. Oversees the administration of the Audio Enhancement System and the integration and support of physical security systems, including cameras, audio solutions, software, emergency controls, and integration of services.
  2. Designs and oversees the implementation of physical security equipment including badge systems, access control, and alarms.
  3. Provide day-to-day support operations of a fast-paced complex distributed physical security infrastructures responding to telephone, ticket, and email requests.
  4. Provides supervision, support, guidance, and direction to the Jr. Security Technology Engineers.
  5. Responsible for preparing routine reports/metrics on security systems and conducting training where needed.
  6. Performs site assessments, attends internal design meetings, and conducts contract reviews.
  7. Participates in physical security technology projects, including field rollouts of software, updates, and remote support.
  8. Provides support on school intercom, paging, bell system, and site-based/district-wide emergency notification.
  9. Leverages third-party support as needed to ensure system stability and continuity.
  10. Maintains documentation on system processes and procedures and a knowledge base of technical issues and solutions to improve the efficiency of support services.
  11. Engages departments and schools to build relationships and obtain feedback on support services.
  12. Performs other duties as necessary for the effectiveness of the organization.

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT

 

Incumbents will be considered “at will.”  Appropriate pay will be determined based on the Grade A-5 as determined by Human Resources and allowable experience. This is a 250-day exempt position.
