Savannah Classical Academy Charter School is a Locally Authorized K-12 Public Charter school and operates autonomously from SCCPSS.

In anticipation of potential vacancies and planned enrollment expansion for the 2023-2024

School Year Savannah Classical Academy (SCA) is seeking highly skilled candidates for this position.

 

PRIMARY FUNCTION:

The Dean of Students is a member of the CEO's leadership team and is responsible for duties related to teacher and student support within the academic setting. Provides support for meeting annual school improvement goals. Provides administrative support for school and community events as deemed necessary by the CEO.

REPORTS TO: CEO

SALARY SCHEDULE: Salary will be based on the local district’s assistant principal scale.

WORK DAYS: 200 days

 

REQUIREMENTS:

 

Education Level: Four-year college degree from an accredited college or university with teaching certification. Eligible for Leadership Certification

 

Experience, Skill, and Certification

 

Enforces school attendance policies to promote student achievement.

Help develop and update disciplinary procedures as needed.

 

Preferred: Experience working with children in a school setting as a classroom teacher.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

Promotes an effective learning environment through enforcement of the student code of conduct. Work with intervention teams to resolve problems that impede student learning and/or participate in school activities. Lead student rewards system.
