PRIMARY FUNCTION:The Chief Academic Officer is a pivotal leader responsible for the development and implementation of rigorous, innovative, and equitable instructional programs across all schools. This role collaborates closely with the Chief of Schools, Deputy Superintendent of Strategy, Innovation, and Performance, and other key stakeholders to ensure academic excellence and student success. and vision.  

 

REPORTS TO: Superintendent 

SALARY SCHEDULE: A1

WORK DAYS: 250

 

REQUIREMENTS:

1.  Education Level: Education Specialist degree in education from an accredited college or university -OR- Master’s degree in education with significant experience in educational administration.

 

Preferred: Earned doctorate

 

2.  Experience, Skill, and Certification: 

 

Preferred: Experience in a large urban system characterized by multi- ethnic and cultural diversity.

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT

Incumbents will receive an annual contract. The work calendar will be 250 days. Salary will be determined based on level of certification and allowable experience.  (A-1) New 03-2024
