PRIMARY FUNCTION: This position will be responsible for overseeing the development and integration of the business systems used by the district. The position will provide guidance, leadership, and direction to staff within the department.

SALARY SCHEDULE: A-5M
WORK DAYS: 250
REQUIREMENTS:
1. Education Level: Bachelor’s degree in information technology or related field.
2. Experience, Skill, and Certification:
- Five or more years’ experience leading technical personnel.
- Five or more years of demonstrated experience collecting, storing, and presenting data in a large-scale, multi-user environment.
- Demonstrated experience with Business Intelligence and reporting tools, i.e. Power BI, Tableau, Python, SQL reporting.
- Demonstrated knowledge with the use of API development or system integration tools.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, and design skills.
- Abilities to identify data and data model inconsistencies and conflicts.
- Experience with database design/management, and reporting/analysis tools, such as but not limited to Access, SQL, Business Objects.
- Strong interpersonal communication skills - ability to work well and to get along with a variety of customers and other technical personnel.
- Strong verbal and written communications skills -ability to write comprehensive reports, conduct presentations, training sessions, and lead meetings.
Preferred
- Extensive experience working with MS SQL, reporting tools, and dashboards.
- Experience with project management
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Supervises and evaluates assigned department staff.
- Serves as backup in the absence of the Executive Director, Business Information System.
- Works with departments and staff to identify, analyze and document business rules, data requirements, and data models, including metadata components.
- Utilizes technical tools to assist staff in developing data integrations and dashboards.
- Works with department and staff in identifying and automating processes.
- Performs imports/exports and data conversion from multiple sources/systems for the manipulation of large data sets.
- Ensures issues and/or discrepancies are identified, tracked, reported on, and resolved in a timely manner.
- Participates in project teams and works with departments to identify needs and solutions.
- Maintains documentation on system processes and procedures.
- Create data share processes both internally and externally as required.
- Performs other duties as necessary for the effectiveness of the organization.
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT
Incumbents will be considered “at will.” Appropriate pay will be determined by Human Resources based on A-5M of the administrator scale and allowable experience.
This is a 250- workday exempt position. New 09/2024
